Where can I practice?
2009-04-14
Practice makes perfect, or at least closer to it than when you started.  But where?

You can practice at your mom's house, but you don't want the rest of the people in the band to know you live with your mom.  So where else?

Many bands practice in storage units, garages, basements, or any business that will let them (usually after hours).
Ideally you want to practice on a stage with sound and everything (like a dress rehersal)
If you can't do that, it could help to practice where people can hear you (in public, at a park, etc.) to build your confidence and work on your stage presence.  Practicing alone is very different from practicing in front of people.  You will definitely want to be comfortable doing your thing in front of a crowd before you try to do a payed gig.
